Chautauqua in Maryland

Jerome Segal

Candidate for U.S. Senate

"Ben or Jerry" Democratic Primary

presents:

Chautauqua in Maryland

I am pleased to announce a Chautauqua event to be held in downtown Silver Spring. In the late 19th and early 20th century, the Chautauqua was a major cultural event that combined adult education with just having a good time. They were traveling shows, with top entertainers and brilliant public speakers, all before radio, TV and the internet. Often leading political figures and candidates participated.

Come join me for an evening both high-brow and low. Please bring a food dish and beverage for four (non-alcoholic).

I will provide the wherewithal for music and dancing and promise a fired-up talk on:

"Why Israel/Palestine Remains the Most Important Conflict of Our Time, and Why Ben Cardin Deserves Early Retirement."

Special Guest Speaker: Rikki Vaughn (also a candidate in the Maryland Senate Primary).

Feel free to wear clothes from the 1890's.
